Jordyn Diew’s Don’t Hang Up!! is a thrilling short film that delves into the unnerving experience of a girl spending a day at home, only to be haunted by mysterious sounds that suggest she is not actually all alone. The film is a perfect example of suspense, with Diew doing an excellent job of combining jump scares with a continuous sense of uncertainty to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. What sets “Don’t Hang Up!!” apart is Diew’s unique directorial choices. Throughout the film, Diew carefully builds tension, using clever camera angles to create an unshakeable sense of unease. As the suspense continues, Diew keeps audiences guessing about the true nature of the threat, leading to a surprising and humorous ending that subverts expectations in the best possible way.
Overall, Don’t Hang Up!! is a highly engaging and entertaining film.
I would give this film 5 out of 5 stars.
