This film comes to us once again from Planet Classroom’s Problem Solvers series. In this short, student Rita Butsko presents the problem she wants to solve the most, an issue more pressing than ever, ending wars.
Ending wars is no easy task especially since wars can start for many reasons. But that doesn’t mean we can’t do anything about it. In this simple short, Butsko highlights the terrible impact of war on the human race and states that to save the planet we need better solutions for world peace. Wars are a tragedy that seem to be overwhelming and never-ending. And with the fighting in the Ukraine going on right now, it’s clear society needs to find ways to end all wars.
While these are only a few of many good ideas, a lot more can be done with them. There is no one simple solution and there are many steps to take before the next boots are on the ground. But if we learn from our past mistakes from past wars, we just might be able to solve one of the world’s longest and biggest problems. I give this short film 4 out of 5 stars.
