Female Empowerment in El Salvador Through Pedal-Power Technology

The film does an excellent job of showcasing Reina’s journey of self-empowerment as she learns about bici-maquinas. Through the mentorship of Carlos and the friendship of Geovany, Reina discovers her life purpose and works towards changing the lives of people in her community.

Sarah Frei has crafted a quality film with beautiful cinematography that captures the emotion and energy of Reina’s journey. The importance of mentorship and community support in helping individuals achieve their goals and make a positive impact is also effectively highlighted.

Veronique is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of General Studies with a Bachelor’s in writing, and received associate degrees in English and Business Administration with High Honors. Her debut flash-fiction piece, “Holy Ransom Demands!,” was published in the Mood Reader Anthology by Hale Patton Publishing in February 2022.
