Le Ballon Bleu by Katherine Griffin is an adorable love story of two balloons: one red, one blue, that become separated in France. The red balloon becomes trapped on a light pole and can’t be freed. The blue balloon seeks help from a little girl strolling through the city. Juntos, they search for the red balloon while also forming a friendship. The music was my favorite part of the film, and the Pixar-style animation was exceptional. It’s an emotional and compelling story, touching on love, amistad, and the challenges we face in making connections.
I give this film a 5/5 star rating for its beautiful cinematography and music composition.
