Shedding Light on Climate Migrants Around the World
By: Amanda Tuccillo
Climate change constantly impacts our world with pollution, deforestation, and hurricanes, causing suffering. In the short film How Do We Solve Climate Migration, Rhea Mursalin discusses the impact on the environment and people’s daily lives.
Climate migration affects approximately 21.5 million people, forcing vulnerable individuals out of their homes due to weather-related incidents caused by climate change. This issue predominantly affects minority groups, who often lack the resources to address it.
The film effectively explains the impact of climate migration on people and emphasizes the importance of raising awareness in society. Mursalin highlights steps to better understand climate migration, promote media coverage, and encourage nations to provide more resources for climate migrants in need.
Overall, I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
