在 The Sun Will Save Us, Tanner Sell presents a strong and informative argument as to why solar energy is the leading energy source that can aid in the fight against climate change. Through the use of on-screen captions and a frequent stream of footage depicting solar panel installations, this short film highlights both the need for solar energy, as well as the main reasons why it is currently impractical to adopt such a system on a nationwide scale. I felt that this was an incredibly well done and well-researched project that should definitely be used to educate as many audiences as possible. Understanding the need for a reliable energy source especially now, when the effects of climate change are rampant and constantly getting worse, is beyond necessary.
One feature I would have preferred is the use of a voice over as I felt it would have given more power to the narrative. The calming music in the background combined with the pure text as a way of giving information paints a picture that the issue at hand isn’t very dire – when I’m sure that’s not the intention. It would have been a great addition to hear a voice, even if it was for a few scenes.
不过, The Sun Will Save Us is a vital contribution to the conversation of climate change. 我给这部电影评分 4 出 5 星星。
