This short filme directed by GuiJing Jiang educates its audience on the impact of global warming, while also providing a very innovative solution to the problem: Mechanical Trees.
Jiang begins by focusing on global warming and how detrimental its impacts have been on the environment. The idea of Mechanical Trees is then introduced. This technology and its potentially positive environmental impacts are discussed in great depth.
I found this film very effective because instead of just talking about the negative effects of global warming, the director introduces us to a promising technological solution to help us combat the issue, giving the audience a sense of hope and assurance that steps are being taken to reverse the problem. The interesting graphics and comprehensible explanation of mechanical trees allows the audience to understand the science behind this technology, which is essential if mechanical trees are to gain more support and popularity. The film is also extremely well produced.
Mechanical Trees may be one of the key ways to combat climate change, and a film such as this one not only explains it well but also encourages us to check it out. We as an audience gain a sense of hope and support for positive efforts towards fighting climate change.
Our planet is our home, and if we do not try and save it from all the impacts of climate change, it will be too late. Hopefully with technologies like mechanical trees, we will be able to help turn this problem around. Mechanical trees have produced positive results, and may be an essential resource in our future.
I would give this film ⅘ stars.
