There are two types of Amazon, the online shopping conglomerate and the largest rainforest in the world. Currently we are struggling to decide which one is more important to our humanity. In our pursuit of greed and excess, we have simultaneously destroyed the most important ecosystem on our planet, and it is only getting worse.
How Can We Save the Amazon Rainforest is a short film produced by GuiJing Jiang that analyzes the situation, impact, and possible remedies to the destruction of the largest forest on the planet. From deforestation to forest fires, CO2 absorption has dropped significantly in the past few decades, and there is no indication of it slowing down.
To combat this change will require support from everyone, which necessitates a deeper analysis of our fundamental goals as humans. GuiJing Jiang raises those questions, and provides potential ways to help.
I am pleased to rate this film with 4 out of 5 stars.
