Will AI Replace Human Translators? Is produced by Sabrina Smith, for Planet Classroom’s Problem Solvers series.
As AI becomes more and more a part of our daily lives, this short analyzes the pros and cons of AI being used in language translation, even posing the idea of AI outright replacing human translators. Sabrina Smith lays out her arguments very well; the pros are that AI has made significant progress and has made translation easier, and the cons are that AI lacks emotion, context, and nuances among other things that make us human.
For now, we can say AI will not completely replace human translators but that may change as AI evolves and gets better. But there is no denying that AI will make the translation job a lot easier.
I give this film 3.5 out of 5 stars
