Mark Keifer’s Saatli Bomba explores humanity’s response to climate change through a group of men attempting to defuse a bomb. Their casual approach to finding solutions, reluctance to use costly resources, and frustrating encounters with customer service create an entertaining yet exasperating experience.
My eyes remained fixed on the screen as I wondered whether these maintenance workers would halt the bomb. Their prolonged efforts and communications with the control center raised doubts about their ability to defuse it in time. Despite the dialog-driven narrative, I found myself captivated, anticipating each moment.
The film effectively conveyed its message, reflecting humanity’s approach to addressing climate change. It felt timely, striking the right balance between subtlety and lightheartedness.
I would rate it 4.5 dışında 5 stars for its topicality and nuanced delivery.
